Kind of, I suppose especially during the time Finland was under heavy Soviet influence, but more often it's Sweden did it so now we have no choice but to do it too
. Like, there's often talk about "bringing policies in line with Sweden" as if we weren't even an independent country. On the other hand, yeah, if Sweden does something Finland considers "unnecessary", it becomes a fucking crusade to not do it... like putting sanctions on dictatorships, and apparently date formatting.
