Ivanova is feminine form of ivanov (please correct me ruski comrades) so does that mean there are more women than men in Russia? Also Ivanov is the most common last name in Belarus and Bulgaria but it is classified as "signifying patronage" rather than "father/mother/ancestral". How can the same last name have different classifications in different countries?
A possible mistake is that Kim is the most common Kazakh and Uzbek last name. Kim is doesn't resemble any muslim or Russianized last name. I don't think the map is reliable.
