George Washington Born February 22, 1732 Initiated November 4, 1752 Raised Died December 14, 1799 George Washington was born February 22, 1732. Washington is commonly known for being the first President of the United States (1789–1797), the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He was elected President as the unanimous choice of the electors in 1788, and he served two terms in office. On November 4, 1752, Washington was Initiated as Entered Apprentice at Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4, Fredericksburg, Virginia. As Acting Grand Master, it is well known that he laid the cornerstone for the United States Capitol, Washington, D.C. on September 18, 1794. What many people don't know about Bro. Washington is that he was widely acknowledged as the best horseman in the 13 Colonies, and that he refused payment for the 8 1/2 years as Commander in Chief asking only to be reimbursed for his expenses, which were never fully reimbursed. On December 14, 1799 at the age of 67, Bro. Washington was called from labor and was buried 4 days later at Mount Vernon with Masonic rites as well as those of the church, conducted by Alexandria Lodge.

Paul Revere Born December 21, 1734 Initiated September 4, 1760 Raised Died May 10, 1818 Paul Revere was born in Boston on December 21, 1734. He was initiated into St. Andrew's Lodge on September 4, 1760, and became a Royal Arch Mason and Knight Templar on December 11, 1769. Revere was prominent silversmith and a patriot in the American Revolution, where he helped devise an intelligence system to keep watch for British troops. Revere along with about thirty others, formed a committee purposed to keep watch for the british soldiers in an attempt to gain intelligence. He and the others would spend nights taking turns patrolling the streets, and held meetings at the Green Dragon Tavern to discuss tactics and share intelligence. Brother Revere was called to labor on May 10, 1818, at the age of 83.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Born January 30, 1882 Initiated October 10, 1911 Raised Died April 12, 1945 Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. Roosevelt became the 32nd President of the United States in 1933, and is the only president in U.S. history to have served four terms. From 1933-1945, he lead the nation through the Great Depression and World War II. Among many of his groundbreaking accomplishments, he is well known for his contributions to foreign and domestic policies and the formation of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and Social Security programs. Franklin D. Roosevelt was initiated into the fraternity of Freemasons at Holland Lodge No. 8 in New York City on October 10, 1911. Eighteen years later, he became a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and later, a Noble in the Cyrus Shrine Temple, AAONOMS in Albany, New York, and a Prophet of the Tri-Po-Bed Grotto, MOVPER. Roosevelt also made Honorary Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Georgia and the Order of Demolay. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was called from labor on April 12, 1945 at the age of 63, and is laid to rest at the Rose Garden of the Springwood Estate in Hyde Park, New York.
