Why does Duke University publish so much Marxist/post-Marxist stuff?
Actually, let's make this a general Uni thread.

Which University (US, Europe, your homeland, or in the world) is the most open towards Marxism or criticism of capitalism in general?

For you who study atm, how do you feel about your current Uni? Is it class concious or spooked?

Any University (or maybe just city/country) you dream of studying or lecturing at in the future?

Well I do know Concordia students in Quebec were some of the most militant peeps involved in the strikes and protests in 2012 and 2015. And Concordia is generally well known for being a breeding ground of leftists.

Lmao dropped out of high school and haven't gotten a GED yet. When I do I'll give applying to college a shot, which is basically community college in Canada.

Well, someone has to be that one lumpen to give the squad some credibility - keep at it Comrade.

I could just stay with my middle class parents in this rural shithole until I kill myself. I still have just a little bit of will left to actually try at life though.

Or maybe just maybe the revolution/insurrection/collapse or whatever the fuck will come soon enough and nothing else will matter.

Sounds like you need to reinvigorate yourself by getting a purpose in life Comrade.

Time to get that GED and become an activist I'd suggest.

Obviously that would beat the alternative I mentioned. I would avoid the use of the word "activist" though as it's usually associated with liberal feel good bullshit, or at least I find it is.

Yeah, but "join a party" sounds a bit presumptuous doesn't it? Especially when the real radicals seem to exist outside, rather than inside, the party-form.

Oh I certainly agree with you on that. What's often called "activism" has just caused me to cringe on reflex every time I see or hear the word.
